Assisted Living for Alzheimer's and Dementia in New Hampshire

Uniquely equipped to provide comprehensive assisted care, The Arches is an ideal assisted living community for those among the more-than four-million Americans challenged by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.

The care given to each resident is our first priority, and the quality of that care is second to none. Our staff is extensively trained to professionally and compassionately attend to those experiencing the varied challenges associated with memory loss or with any of Alzheimer’s three stages.

This accelerated level of care enables us to handle the emerging needs of our residents, and most often eliminates the need to relocate loved-ones should they require more in-depth treatment over time, thus avoiding the trauma associated with repeated displacement.

With the long-term in mind, The Arches offers a serene, safe and appropriately home-like environment in which residents can develop enhanced confidence as well as the friendships that are fundamental to a healthy and fulfilled lifestyle.

Mmmmm mmm Ice Cream

August 19, 2010

What would summer be without Ice Cream?   Here at the Arches we know the importance of summer fun and Ice Cream.  Our residents go on bus trips to DQ and Wendy’s and many other Ice Cream stops (The residents can list most of them).  On many days when it is just too hot to go on a bus trip we eat Ice Cream at home.  The residents also make root beer and orange floats.  Many of the residents tell stories of how far they had to go for an ice cream in the old days or how they never really had ice cream because it cost to much.  How the times have changed.   So many of the residents have many stories of their grand kids and ice cream.

A Day at the park

August 15, 2010

There is nothing like a day at the park on a nice summer day.  At the Arches Assisted Living Facility we  know how important it is for our residents to have fun in the sun.  The residents outlook on life changes so much getting out and about.  We have many palnned and unplanned trips during nice weather.  After a long day out on the bus the residents smile and have a better outlook on life.  It stimulates their minds to talk of yesterdays and share the current day with family and friends.  Its amazing how a day at the park can bring out the kid in all of us.
