It is amazing how much fun someone can have with a parachute. So many smiles come to the residents faces when doing an activity such as this.  Here at The Arches Assisted Living Facility we strive to make our residents feel at home and happy.  We join in the fun like one big family.  Family is what life is all about and here at The Arches we feel the same.  We treat all our residents like they are family and many of our residents loved ones feel as if they are part of this big family too.  It is amazing how many family members and residents touch our hearts so deeply.  It is hard not to feel as if we are all one family here.  Sometimes we just need to stop and enjoy the finest thing in life (family) because time never stops it just keeps flying by and often we get so caught up work life we fail to stop and smell the flowers in our lives.  Living with Alzheimer’s doesn’t mean we stop living. 

Here at the Arches Assisted Livingfacility we try to do our best to help our residents with “Spring Fever”.  Today we went for a ride around town to see what is in bloom and get some fresh air.  One our way toward Laconia the residents thought we ought to take a detour into Wendys for a treat.  Many of our residents enjoy a Frosty (Ice Cream) from wendys on many of our bus trips.  Family members often ask our staff “What is a frosty” after taking their loved ones out for the day(They must ask for a Frosty).  Sometimes the little things in life can make the biggest difference in someones life.
